Soluble coffee and coffee extract
Soluble coffee is the product that remains after the coffee extract has been removed from the water and is in the form of crystals, powder or dried granules. Due to its elaboration, instant coffee is mainly composed of ingredients that, upon contact with water and other liquids, dissolve or rehydrate.
Coffee extract is the product resulting from the infusion of roasted and ground coffee with hot water. Hot water extracts the soluble components of roasted coffee forming a beverage or extract, which may or may not be subsequently concentrated for sale.
